Betway: what to do when the operator's own sheet is mostly empty
The sheet this programme supplied for Betway leaves the site, the minimum deposit and the language list blank, and gives one number. An empty field is a finding, and we have published it as one.

An empty field is a finding, and this sheet has several
The document an affiliate programme sends out is a sales instrument, and the ordinary complaint about one is that it says too much; the sheet supplied for this brand on 14 October 2026 has the opposite problem. The reason is that four of its fields are empty: the site address (the minimum deposit) the list of account languages and the year of foundation.
The one figure in it is a "play-through requirement" ("PTR", in the sheet's own abbreviation) of thirty-five times. Most of this trade would fill those gaps from a review, from a competitor or from a press release, whichever of the three came first in a search, and the filled-in version would then look on the page exactly like a verified one looks.
We have left them empty on the card above, which looks worse than the alternative and is the only honest option available to anybody who did not read the field himself. What the gaps actually tell a reader is something about the relationship rather than about the casino. A programme that leaves four fields blank for one of its largest "brands" is a programme nobody has asked, and we have now asked!
What we could verify, which is the part that counts
One thing about this brand is checkable in about a minute by anybody with a browser, and it happens to be the most important thing on the page. Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/CRP/130/2006 is held by Betway Limited (Malta, company number C39710). The authority publishes a "domain verification" tool in which "betway.com" returns that licence, which means anybody can run the same check we ran (from a browser of his own) without an account.
That is the whole argument for putting a "licence number" where other sites put a "4.9 / 5", and the argument holds whichever way the check comes out. A number can be repeated by the person it is offered to; a rating cannot be repeated by anybody at all. Against that, nobody at this site has opened an account at Betway, so the "cashier", the live "lobby" and the full terms were not read from this desk.
Three boxes on the card therefore carry a question mark (a finding rather than a blank): the settlement currency, the "withdrawal window" and the payment routes available to a Canadian account.
Cadway Limited, which is nobody else's company
The provincial arrangement here is unusual enough (two registers, one company, one brand) to be the second reason this page exists at all. In Ontario and in Alberta the brand is registered to Cadway Limited, which is neither Betway Limited (the Malta licensee) nor Cadtree Limited (the company that holds four sibling brands on the same registers). And that makes three separate corporate entities (three names, three registrations) carrying the products of one group into Canada.
Cadway Limited holds the Ontario registration with a single brand, and the same company holds the Alberta one, which is a tidier arrangement than any sibling in this index manages and a rarer one than a reader would guess. There is a gap behind that tidiness, and it belongs in this section rather than in a footnote: the instrument covering a Canadian player outside those two provinces is the one we could not identify, because the group holds several licences (Malta, Great Britain) and the sheet does not say which of them stands behind the international site a Canadian actually lands on. That makes it the only one-brand company in our Canadian files, which is worth a moment: everywhere else in this trade one company carries four or seven names, and a reader checking a register has to work out which of them he is looking at.
Both lists are on the page on provinces. For the player the practical consequence is the usual one and it is worth repeating: a provincial registration brings a regulator in his own jurisdiction, a centralised "self-exclusion" programme covering every regulated site at once (in Ontario, "BetGuard"). And advertising standards that bind the operator and, through it, us.
A welcome page, which is not the page we asked for
The only Canadian address the programme supplies for this brand is a welcome page, "betway.com/bwp/welcome-casino-ca-1000-50/en-ca/", rather than the main page of the site. The same is true of the two provincial addresses. That is not how we would arrange it, because a "welcome page" is an offer and the card above does not describe offers.
The kit this site is built on prefers the main page of an operator's site for exactly this reason, because a main page shows a reader what the operator is before it shows him what the operator is offering him today. Where a programme supplies only a welcome page the rule is to use it without naming the offer, and to ask for the main one (which we did, on the day we read the sheet).
We have done both, and the card above says in so many words that the destination is a "welcome page", so that a reader knows what the button opens before he presses it rather than afterwards. A note for anyone comparing our pages with the programme's sheet: the sheet gives no main page for Betway either in Ontario or in the rest of Canada, which is an absence in the sheet rather than an oversight on this side of it.
The dollar, and the path that makes the claim
The address contains "en-ca" (a language and a country, in that order), and a language-and-country code sitting in a path is a fact a reader can read for himself before typing anything at all into a form. It establishes that the page was built for English-speaking Canada; it does not establish the currency of the account behind it, which is a separate question with a separate answer.
The currency behind the deposit form is the question the paths leave open, and here the arithmetic has a shape particular to this brand: a player who deposits monthly and withdraws twice a year crosses the currency boundary fourteen times, not twice, and each crossing is charged separately. What that comes to over a year is set out on the page on Canadian dollar accounts.
No French Canadian address was supplied for this brand at all, which is the reason it does not appear on the French pages of this site, and the absence is the programme's rather than ours. Thirty-two of the Canadian addresses we hold for other brands are written in French, so the absence here is a choice somebody made rather than an oversight, and a reader in Québec who wants this brand in his own language will have to take the "en-ca" page and manage as best he can (the site offers no "fr-ca" counterpart that we could find).
The engine, and the one thing the sheet does say
The platform here is Betway's own, inside Super Group (the listed company above both businesses), which makes this brand the one exception in a set of pages that otherwise describes the same rented lobby over and over, and the sheet gives no detail about the games beyond that, and it is the only brand in our index whose "software" description could not be established from any source we trust. That is a smaller gap than it sounds, because a catalogue is the least reliable figure in this trade and the most quoted.
The figure the sheet does give is a "play-through requirement" of thirty-five times, and it is the only number from any offer anywhere on this site. A brand that sells sport beside the casino usually applies a different multiplier to each, so the one figure covers less ground here than it appears to; see the page on wagering requirements.
Feed the thirty-five and the day's figure to the calculator on the entry for wagering requirements, and what comes back is a sum in dollars (not in multiples) instead of in multiples.
What a reader should do with a half-empty sheet
The correct response to missing data is not to assume the worst of an operator, and it is certainly not to assume the best of one, because both of those are ways of writing a review without doing the work. It is to go and read the four fields that are blank, which takes about two minutes on the site itself: the address the button actually lands on (the minimum deposit) the currency of the account and the languages the support answers in.
Then look up "Cadway Limited" in your own province's "register of registered gaming sites" if your province keeps one (Ontario and Alberta both do), because the entity you would be contracting with is not the one named on the international footer. That is a shorter list of instructions than most pages on this site carry, and it is short because the operator's own document is.
A last observation is worth making about the shape of all this, because it generalises well beyond one brand and one sheet. The quantity of information an affiliate site publishes about a casino is decided by the programme that pays it ("the sheet", in the trade's own shorthand), and a page that looks thorough is usually a page whose sheet was full. You are reading the opposite case here, and the thinness of it is the finding rather than the failure!

Questions readers ask
Why does your card show so little about Betway?
Because the operator's sheet of 14 October 2026 leaves the site address, the minimum deposit and the account languages blank, and supplies only a "play-through" requirement of thirty-five times. We publish the gaps rather than filling them.
Which licence covers Betway outside the provinces?
Malta Gaming Authority licence MGA/CRP/130/2006, held by Betway Limited, and "betway.com" appears in the authority's own domain check, which is a verification a reader can repeat.
Is Betway registered in Ontario and Alberta?
Yes, in both, under Cadway Limited. It is the only brand in our index whose provincial entity is neither the international "licensee" nor the company that holds the sibling brands.
Why does the link open a welcome page rather than a home page?
Because the welcome page is the only address the programme supplies for Canada. We have asked for the main page and have not received it, and the card says what kind of page the link opens.
